Andrea and Max | Los Gatos Wedding

los-gatos-wedding

Nestled in a forrest of trees on a warm September day, Max and Andrea said their vows amongst their beloved family members and friends. The weekend began with a welcome dinner at a restaurant in the heart of Los Gatos. Los Gatos is the hometown of the groom Max, in fact the wedding location was his family home.

Max and Andrea both got ready off-site at a nearby hotel, where the majority of the guests stayed. The wedding party headed to Morse manor for the ceremony. The ceremony was beautiful, surrounded by ferns, various bright green trees with an arbor draped in fabric and succulents. The guest were greeted with cocktails and popcorn, which I must say is a great touch. As the piano began to play the wedding party lined up for the processional. The vows were endearing, funny and deeply thoughtful.

A fun side-note in this story:  Max was our wedding officiant. Max and I have a fun history. He was my first (and I must say best) roommate ever in college. Being able to be his photographer was quite special.

After the ceremony, the party began on the large wood deck. Candles flickered on tables, champagne was poured and speeches, both heartfelt and hilarious, were made. These two are truly special. Andrea, tall and gorgeous, the 2012 Miss West Virginia, with a true heart of gold and an awesome dancer. Max is charismatic, loyal, and a talented creative for Lyft. Both live and work in San Francisco.

The reception was a large dance party and ended with a special tradition. Friends and family formed a circle as the bride and groom sat in the center and all sang whole heartedly the words to Country Roads. What a finale! Of course, the weekend did end with a large brunch spread and then the newlyweds were sent off to their Hawaiian Honeymoon.

I say Congratulations often to couples and feel so deeply happy for newlyweds, but for these two I have a deeper sense of joy! I am so happy that my friend Max found such a loving woman to share his life with. Congrats to you both!

Andrea + Max | San Francisco Engagement

san francisco engagement 5

San Francisco engagements are a lot of fun. Even better when they are dear friends. Max and Andrea are a lovely couple that live in the city. A short backstory on how we know this couple: Max and I (Stacey) met in college and were roommates (he also was our wedding officiant). I have a lot of fun stories and sweet memories about Max. I even credit Max for how I met Rick, he did not introduce us but he did create the path that took us to finding each other. Finding each other! What wonderful words we love to hear. Max and Andrea met for the first time at their two best friends weddings in Costa Rica. Pretty rad! Max is the video director at Lyft and can take credit for videos like this and Andrea is from West Virgina, she was even Miss West Virgina in 2012 and nows works as a Field Marketing Manager for Meltwater.

We spent an afternoon roaming around the city, in what started out as a sunshine and pleasant temps quickly turned into thick fog and strong winds. For a summer day in July, it was rather freezing. However, we all kept our smiles on and had a great time taking photos around the city followed by a scrumptious celebratory dinner. We can’t wait for these two to tie the knot in September!

James and Valerie | San Francisco Wedding

sfwedding29

Last month we photographed the joyous event of James and Valerie’s San Francisco wedding. The day began at the Hotel Triton, where the couple and wedding party had a fun time getting ready. Our next location in the city of love was the Lyon Street steps for the couples first look. The sunshine shined bright on the two for this day and I am pretty sure it was the warmest day in San Francisco all summer. The ceremony took place at the stunning Palace of the Fine Arts, under pillars and great statutes the couple said their I-dos amongst their family and friends and Monty their French bull dog. The reception was followed in the lovely Mill Valley. It was a wonderful day and we were so happy to meet such warm and kind people. We wish James and Valerie all the best for their adventure together.
