Right before the holidays we met Jesse and Josh for dinner and drinks in Santa Monica. Rick and I saw a lot of similarities in our own relationship with Josh and Jesse but above all we knew they were just really good people, with a lot of love for each other. We were excited to be their photographers and, bonus, Palm Springs is one of our favorite destinations for photographing weddings.
A little about the two: Josh is a Jazz Pianist and Jesse is an Architect. Being a Photographer you are able to catch small observations and here are just a few of my own from their wedding weekend: Jesse was always smiling, really smiling. This made Rick and I smile on the inside and outside. Josh has a lot of grace. Certain musicians have this quality, there is this poise and ease in his ability to be charming. Together, they are silly and sweet.
The weekend started with a casual Italian feast around the pool at the Del Marcos Hotel, nestled in the San Jacinto Mountains. The following day was the wedding. The hotel palm trees swayed in the breeze with a glow reflecting from the nearby mountainside. The decor sent you back in time and love was in the air.
Now, let me share with you some of the fun highlights such as The Lime Truck delivering delicious food. The music…sweet music performed by very talented musicians and friends of the couple. Drinks around the pool. Lounging under market lights and lots of cacti and succulents arranged in colorful vessels and wood bowls. To top it off the weather was perfect!
Congrats again to our new friends and many many years of happiness to you both!
