Massiel + Nicholas | Historic Pico House Wedding
I met Massiel and Nicholas for the first time in November. The three of us enjoyed a lovely fall day in Malibu Canyon taking photos in celebration of their engagement. Some people are just so right for each other that it makes you think for the moment the universe is perfectly balanced. They are both sweet, intelligent, spiritual and caring they passionately care for each other, their careers and their families.
Then I saw them on their wedding day, calm and collected and both in tuned with taking in every moment.
The day began at the Downtown Ace Hotel in Los Angeles for Massiel, together with her beautiful Mother and Sister. Massiel dressed in her Karen Willis Holmes sequin gowned, Massiel stepped out on the streets of downtown LA looking exquisite and from another era in time. The ceremony was held at the Cathedral Of Our Lady Of The Angels and the reception was at the Pico House, a historical building sitting across from the old Los Angeles Plaza on Olvera Street. Both locations were grand, beautiful and a great match for these proud Angelenos.
The couple shared their first dance to the vibrant music of the three woman mariachi band Trio Ellas, followed by a Mediterranean feast, sweet toasts and what else than cake. The dancing and laughter between Massiel and Nicholas was infectious and watching these two best friends wedding union was a great honor.
Following their wedding the couple spent a honeymoon in Istanbul and Paris. Félicitations à vous deux !
